Day of Thanks

Today it's Thanksgiving. And I have so much to be thankful for! I have the greatest family in the entire universe and today I get to spend the day with them. And I'll love every minute of it. I have lots to write on the blog and get caught up about- big announcements, lots of fun things coming in the near future and such, but today I just want to talk about what I'm thankful for.

I'm so Thankful for:
- A wonderful boyfriend who is my best friend and supports me through everything. I am so lucky to have found him and have him in my life and by my side as we bring our daughter into this world and raise her.
- An amazing family who has never given up on me, always supported me, and loved me through the tough times. A family who has taught me how to work hard, never give up, and always give everything your best.
- Some of the best friends in the world who stand by me through everything and continually shower me with love and best wishes.
- Boots to keep my cold feet warm
- A roof over my head
- Food to eat on the table
- Warm coats that zip up around my big belly
-A healthy baby girl that kicks me all day long, reminding me that she's still in there
- Games for the family to play, enjoy and laugh at
- A job that provides me with so many opportunities
- A Heavenly Father who loves me and has never left me alone

There are so many things to be thankful for, and I am so blessed and know that many times I take the simplest things for granted. I wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving, and hope you enjoy the holidays with your family.

On the countdown

Jelly bean-

Boy do I have exciting news for you! A few things actually.

First: Only 11 weeks until you're here (If you cooperate and come on time)

Second: This really amazing lady who you will know as grandma bought us some really cute fabric to make you quilts and blankets. Mommy made your blanket yesterday and today we're working on your first quilt. We'll definitely need to post some cute pictures later so everyone can see. You'll be so warm and look so cute all cuddled up.

Third: Everyone is so excited to meet you! But not more excited than Daddy and I are. It seems like you make my big belly poke out even more, and the pregnant lady jokes are never ending. I still love the feeling of you kicking or punching, and it's just like the first time everytime you move. As soon as you do I grab Dad's hand and make him press on my belly so he can feel you move, too!

Someone else who is so excited to meet you is your cousin, Cameron. We went to visit him yesterday and he looks up at me and points to my belly while he says, "You have a baby in there." A few minutes later he gets right next to my belly and whispers "Hi baby". I think he got a little worried when you didn't say anything because then he gets real close to you again and yells. "Hey baby- are you in there???" Yep, I'm pretty sure he can't wait to meet you.

Hectic much?

I know I haven't blogged in what seems like ages, but I've been pretty busy! (Not to mention the fact that we don't have a working computer from home- dang virus). Remember how I talked about getting sick in my last post? Well, that has lasted for more than a week. I'm still sick, and I spent most of my time last week at my parents house, trying to recooperate. Keep your fingers crossed, but it seems to finally be clearing up. So in the meantime I got caught up with a few projects around the house. (Mostly cleaning and orginizing)- This was definitely the funnest one though!

I am so excited to have this done and we can put it up in her nursery. (Hopefully she comes out looking like a Brylee, otherwise we'll have to redo it)

We're on the countdown now, waiting for her to get here. This Thursday will mark 28 weeks, and we aren't quite sure whether to be more nervous or excited. I'm definitely excited because it's starting to wear me out, but I think that Bryan wants her to stay in there for a while longer. Last week we had an appt at Primary Childrens for a fetal heart cardiogram just to make sure that everything was okay with her heart because the pictures were unclear the first couple of times. Everything came back great, but our technician kept laughing throughout the appt because everytime she pushed with the probe Brylee would kick, almost like she was pushing back. Our baby likes her space, and with that becoming harder for her to get, she kicks and moves all the time. And she kicks hard. I think she's ready to come out, too.

Wednesday was Bryan's 24th birthday! So we celebrated by ourselves on Thursday by going out to dinner and just spending the night together cuddled up watching TV. It's nice to still have the occasional date night, and we're trying to load up on those right now since we won't have the opportunity so often in just a few months here. On Friday we went up to my grandparents with my family to support their annual chairty dinner and play. The food was great, the play had it's moments, but the company was by far the best. Saturday Bryan wanted to have a little get together at our house with some friends to celebrate his birthday, so I of course had to put on a good presentation. I made some delicious family recipe dips and lemon bars for munchies and then we ordered pizza for the main dish. It was a great turnout and we had a blast.

Sunday we went to Nich and Jamie's, which now seems to be a weekly ritutal, and she cooked us awesome chicken enchiladas. (The same enchiladas that are subsequently Bryan's favorite meal that I cook) and we hung out with their fam for a while. The boys normally play video games- of course- and us girls talk about work, or do crafts, or listen to the kids bicker. Jamie and I left to take Evan home and we came back and see a car backed into our car. Great way to end the night. Not only that, but I get out and this guy is so rude and says "Well, we just hit this car but we're late to an appointment and we have to go." I was like, Oh well I'm sorry that you're late and that you backed into our car, but it was your fault. I went to get Bryan and the guy was practically in his car already, yelled his name and said we'll be in touch. For rude. Luckily Nich and his dad have an auto body shop and can do the repair on the back bumper for pretty cheap, but we're gonna make sure this guy pays for every penny of it. Hmph. The damage wasn't too bad, but I'm so shocked that he would be so rude after his wife had just hit our car, and I have a feeling if we hadn't showed up when we did, it would have been a hit and run. Yikes!
